Here is how I achieved this style:
I parted her hair from ear to ear, banded that section and left it for later. Then I made 6 even parts in her hair, and separated the parts with bands.
I began braiding, from the middle left section, to the top right section, to the top left section, and back down to the middle rght section.
The bottom two sections are banded, balled, and three strand twisted. The remaining hair from the right middle section is added in with the hair from the right bottom section and twisted.
Then I added ribbon, pink of course!
The best part about this Hair Carnival? The Princess and I were able to have a long talk about Breast Cancer Awareness, and she is prepared to share her new knowledge with anyone who comments on her hair. Isn't that the whole point? Not just to showcase our fantastic hair styling skills, but to put those skills to good use by raising awareness for this horrible disease? Please make sure to check out all of my fellow bloggers' entries into this month's Hair Carnival. I also encourage you to get out there are help in any way you can. Whether it be walking, fundraising, or encouraging someone to get a mammogram, we can all make a difference.

ReplyDeleteAwesome style! It's so very cute and Princess looks adorable. That's cool that the two of you had the time to talk about breast cancer, I bet you're proud that she's able to tell people the reason behind her style!
ReplyDeletecute, I love it!

ReplyDeleteWow, this on REALLY looks like the logo, the shape is perfect! Great job! And how cute is the princess :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I love the way you were able to braid the ribbon logo, and also talk with Princess about breast cancer. You are so right, we can all make a difference!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! It was very meaningful to have the time to sit down and talk to my baby about what we were doing and the meaning behind it. When we were done I showed her everyone else's submissions. She is way too excited to go to school tomorrow and tell everyone to 'save the tatas.' :) In retrospect, next time I will probably braid the ribbon into he hair, maybe do a 4 strand cornbraid. I dont really like te way it looks added in afterward.
ReplyDeleteWonderful job! The hair looks great and kudos to you for jumping at the opportunity to discuss such a heavy topic with the Princess!
ReplyDeleteLove the logo you did great!!!!! Glad you joined the Hair Carnival!
