Freestyle star with crossover cornrows, and star beads

Li'l Bit and I picked up new large-hole star beads from a new beauty supply store near our home. I just couldn't wait to use them, so I decided to incorporate them into a style I was dying to try on The Princess. I gathered inspiration for this style after seeing this hairstyle on beadsbraidsbeyond.blogspot.com. I thought it was all too cute, and decided to put my own spin on it by crisscross cornrowing the entire head into a star-like pattern and adding my cool new star beads. Next time, I will actually part the star pattern into her head at the beginning and go from there; I freestlyed it this time and to me, it could look more like a star. :)

  2. This is sooo cute!!! Do you use all the product on each braid or do you just coat the hair with each product then begin? Sounds like a silly question but I always wonder how each person does it!!

  3. Thank you all so much!
@Amanda...I separate the hair into sections and complete the conditioning process.....in this case, adding the hair milk then the oil to each section. THEN I begin styling the hair, and I apply the product that I am using for hold to each section as I style.:)

  4. Thanks Elizabeth! (elizabeth is mine and my oldest daughters middle name). Sometimes I am too light handed with products and their hair just frizzes out or dries out. I need to remember to add moisturizer seal then a styling product.
